Lenovo Z5 is the new plan from Lenovo to announce a true bezel-less smartphone that will simply know down the competition. According to the rumors, the phone will feature 95% screen-to-body ratio. Incredible, isn’t it?
It’s a difficult moment for Chinese companies, they are all trying to simply pull off bezel-less smartphones following “Apple guidelines” and that includes the presence of the notch.

Notch? No, thank you Lenovo
But what if someone wants to differentiate? Lenovo Z5 aims to do that. More than being a cool aesthetically device, the new phone could represent a valuable turning point to futuristic smartphones.
Unfortunately, though, these are only rumors. Lenovo published on the web a picture of the alleged phone, but we can’t tell you if there won’t be a notch or whatever.
The following picture displays a “slice” of the phone and no notch appears on it. Thus, we are a bit skeptical, because Lenovo could adopt a top right notch. It’s improbable but feasible.
Lenovo Z5, a futuristic sketch of the phone
Anyway, we like to assume that these rumors are legit and this is a sketch of what the smartphone could look like:
We already came across a similar result, it was with the Vivo Apex, another interesting device. But it was only a concept phone, way too expensive to build and commercialize.
Lenovo patented more than 18 new ideas to build a phone without bezels, so it’s easy to think that they actually applied these technologies to build a phone ready for the market.
Specs and release dates
Of course, this is going to be a flagship phone, the hardware will probably feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 but there isn’t any information yet.
According to GSMArena, Lenovo is looking forward to announcing the new Lenovo Z5 on June 14.
